Turkey: Under Erdogan

Recently I received some photographs and headlines from Turkey concerning anti-Semitic demonstrations that have taken place in Istanbul.    Most of the pictures are taken in 4 Levent -- an up-scale, upper middle class neighborhood of Istanbul, where the Israeli Consulate is located.

Although such pictures and slogans are common in the Arab world, this is all very unfamiliar in Turkey.  It is the manifestation of eight years of Erdogan's leadership that have shaped the minds and hearts of the Turkish public in the most anti-Western, anti-Semitic manner.
