Feminist Silence: Hamas's Sexual Violence

by Nils A. Haug  •  March 28, 2024 at 5:00 am

  • In November 2023, it was reported that the United Nations' Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women and Girls, Reem Alsalem, notwithstanding overwhelming evidence to the contrary, claimed the evidence against Hamas "was 'not solid' enough to warrant a statement" -- to which London's Victims' Commissioner, Claire Waxman, replied: "How can we talk about eliminating violence against women and girls if we are tacitly saying its acceptable to rape Jewish ones?"

  • Alsalem, from Jordan, claims the charges against Israeli forces are "reasonably credible," but refuses to divulge the source. In reality, no credible or proven instance of this behaviour by Israel's forces in Gaza since October 7 has been publicly recorded.

  • "Organizations that fight for LGBT rights condemned the country that allows freedom, and marched for a terrorist organization that punishes gay people with death." — Jared Kushner, townhall.com, March 7, 2024.

  • "Above all, we must at all times remember what intellectuals habitually forget: that people matter more than concepts and must come first. The worst of all despotisms is the heartless tyranny of ideas." — Paul Johnson, historian, thepublicdiscourse.com, January 23, 2023.

  • Early women's liberation movements, forerunners to present feminist activism, were founded to proclaim women's rights to social equality. Radical feminism, as a narrow expression of the original movement, fails spectacularly in exemplifying society's moral and ethical precepts. Its advocates appear to prioritize narcissistic, egocentric identity ideologies over the sanctity, dignity, and ontological security of the individual woman.

  • "We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented." — Elie Wiesel, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, December 10, 1986.

For all advocates for women's welfare, especially in the area of sexual violence, the crucial concern at this time should be the terror perpetrated on defenceless females of all ages through acts of sexual depravity, torture, and death by Hamas in Israel on October 7. In November 2023, the UK Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy penned a poem, "We See You," celebrating the triumph of female soccer players. Success of women in traditional men's sports is certainly something to celebrate. Even so, a Poet Laureate's task is surely also to reflect deep contemporary issues affecting the nation. Duffy, a devoted feminist, gender activist, and supporter of the oppressed, has yet to address the most seminal issue of the moment for women's welfare: the horrific and systemic gender-based violence suffered by innocent Israeli girls and women, many raped to death, abused, tortured, massacred, with their sexual organs carved from their bodies by Hamas murderers on October 7, 2023. Perhaps she still might comment or pen an emotive poem, perhaps not.

Biden Lies To America, Tells the Truth To China

by Daniel Greenfield  •  March 28, 2024 at 4:00 am

  • When the spy balloon was first detected, the initial response by the Biden administration had been to suppress news about it and then to deny that the administration had been aware of it.... But when a Montana resident's footage of the spy balloon went viral, the Biden cover-up fell apart.

  • ...[T]he Biden administration fully committed to covering up "difficult subjects"... One of those difficult subjects was China's spy base in Cuba. After the Wall Street Journal reported that China had agreed to pay Cuba billions to build a spy base, the Biden administration denied it.

  • And then it had to admit it anyway.

  • The cover-ups, in the name of anti-racism or diplomacy, allowed the Communist regime a clear field for spying on the United States while suppressing the story, so Biden wouldn't get blamed.

  • By the fall of last year, the Wall Street Journal reported on Chinese infiltrators trying to access American military bases "as many as 100 times in recent years".

  • [T]here is every reason to believe that the situation may be worse than we realize.

  • Governments normally conceal information about enemy activities so as not to tip off foreign spies, but the Biden administration's consistent pattern has been to hide the information from Americans rather than from Russia and China... China can trust the White House, but we can't.

The Biden administration's cover-ups, in the name of anti-racism or diplomacy, allowed China's Communist regime a clear field for spying on the United States while suppressing the story, so Biden wouldn't get blamed. "When I was director of intelligence for the Indo-Pacific Command, for example, I watched as numerous requests to publicize Chinese malign activities were disapproved by Washington," US Navy Rear Admiral Mike Studeman recently warned.

The former head of the Office of Naval Intelligence had served between 2022 and 2023, and during that time one of the suppressed stories about China's attacks involved "Beijing's use of high-altitude surveillance balloons over the sovereign airspaces of the US," which came "many months before the shooting down of a Chinese balloon flying over the US."

After the spy balloon was exposed, Biden administration officials had claimed that there had been multiple spy balloon overflights under Trump and only one under Biden, which went unnoticed at the time, but the US Navy was clearly aware and had been ordered to keep quiet by D.C. about the multiple incursions by Chinese spy balloons under Biden.

We deeply mourn the untimely passing of Gatestone Institute's Advisory Board member, former Senator Joe Lieberman -- a true American hero and stellar human being. Together with his beloved Hadassah, he sought to build bridges and was the voice of reason and ethics. May his memory be a blessing.

Biden Administration's Terrorist Pier in Gaza: The Trojan Horse For Terrorists to Take Over the Region

by Bassam Tawil  •  March 27, 2024 at 5:00 am

  • Placing Qatar -- rather than, say, the United Arab Emirates -- in charge of the Gaza pier entrenches a terrorist-sponsoring Trojan Horse at Hamas's beck and call. Qatar will use the pier to supply Hamas with more money and more powerful weapons. The port will also undoubtedly be used to smuggle Islamist jihadis from all around the world into the Gaza Strip to launch more massacres against Israelis.

  • Qatar has a long history of supporting the Muslim Brotherhood and its Islamist offshoots, but also Osama bin Laden, Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Hezbollah and the Al Nusra Front.

  • If Qatar really wants an end to the Israel-Hamas war, all it has to do is order its Hamas puppets immediately and unconditionally to release all the Israelis kidnapped by Hamas terrorists October 7 and held hostage in the Gaza Strip. Hamas leaders Ismail Haniyeh and Khaled Mashaal, who are based in Doha, would not be able to refuse. Qatar is their lifeline.

  • The Qataris, however, are evidently in no rush to pressure Hamas: Qatar is clearly facing no pressure from the Biden administration. On the contrary, the Biden administration just agreed to extended Qatar's ability to host America's Al-Udeid Air Base, the headquarters of CENTCOM, for another ten years – for nothing in return.

  • "Congress must weigh in and cancel the 10-year extension of the military base in Qatar... The U.S. should seize assets tied to individuals and entities in Qatar for supporting terrorist groups, especially those tied to Iran, a state sponsor of terrorism.... It's time to put Doha on notice that they are jeopardizing their relationship with the U.S. by providing material support to designated terrorist groups. Qatar is clearly acting like a state sponsor of terror and should not be allowed to use the U.S. banking system to bypass existing, though not enforced, sanctions on funding Iran and its terrorist proxies." — Former US intelligence officer Michael Pregent, The Hill, January 22, 2024.

  • The US should definitely start withdrawing from Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

  • Thanks to the Biden administration -- which is also pressuring Israel not to eliminate the remaining Hamas terrorist battalions in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah -- Qatar and its Hamas pawns are having the last laugh. In light of the Biden administration's decision to turn itself into an ally of terrorists and their supporters, such as Hamas and Qatar – instead of strengthening US relations with Israel and its allies in the Gulf who are fighting terrorism -- it is a very long last laugh, indeed.

At the request of the Biden administration, Qatar has agreed to take charge of operating and financing a temporary pier in the Gaza Strip. Qatar agreed to run the port on condition that the construction work go to a company controlled and sponsored by Hamas, according to Israel's Channel 14.

The Biden administration's decision to involve Qatar, Hamas's major funder and ally, in the project is akin to putting the fox in charge of the chicken coop. This is a big, deliberate finger from the Biden administration not just in the in the eye of Israel but also in the eyes of America's allies in the Gulf who do not support terrorists, as well as for US national security.

China's 'Unrestricted Warfare': Is It Here Already?

by Pete Hoekstra  •  March 26, 2024 at 5:00 am

  • China-linked hackers appear to be looking to attack U.S. infrastructure, especially key components such as the electrical grid, water reservoirs and treatment plants, pipelines, and transportation and communications systems, among other targets.

  • The goal is seemingly to disrupt the U.S. everything critical to life – if you have no electricity, your cellphone will not work; no water will come out of the tap; gas pumps will not pump gas; flights and trains will stop, and disease from disabled sewage treatment plants will spread. There will be havoc and panic. The government and military will be unable to protect the nation. That is what is meant by "unrestricted warfare." Not a bullet was fired. It did not have to be. According to Sun Tzu's The Art of War, it is perfect.

  • What are some of the steps that should be taken?

  • The West has correctly identified the CCP as the malign threat that it is; now we have a responsibility to put into place the measures and deterrents to prevent it from attacking us through cyberspace or any other way. Let us not wait until we experience a 9/11-scale cyberattack that could be far more damaging to the U.S. than what took place on that dark day more than 20 years ago.

If there is one thing FBI Director Christopher Wray has been consistent on, it is the threat of Communist China across a wide range of fronts. At an unprecedented event on July 6, 2022, Wray and his British counterpart, MI5 Director General Ken McCallum, held a joint public appearance – the first ever -- to discuss the growing security challenge posed by China. Evidently, they saw the matter as urgent.

In this joint appearance, the two men highlighted the threats posed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the CCP's civil-military fusion state -- specifically, that the CCP is intent on acquiring and stealing technology and business secrets from the West. Targeted areas include advanced materials, data and artificial intelligence (AI). China's President Xi Jinping has made it clear that he intends China to not only catch-up to, but surpass, the West.

Violations of the Eighth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution

by Lawrence Kadish  •  March 26, 2024 at 4:00 am

It is high time to call on all judges and patriots to put a stop to crimes committed by those who have been elected or appointed to uphold the laws of the nation and the US Constitution, but who instead have been violating the law and assaulting the Constitution – sadly with impunity. It is high time to call on all judges and patriots to put a stop to crimes committed by those who have been elected or appointed to uphold the laws of the nation and the US Constitution, but who instead have been violating the law and assaulting the Constitution – sadly with impunity. We have seen former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton allegedly obstruct justice by reportedly ordering her staff to destroy 33,000 subpoenaed emails with BleachBit and smash two of her 13 BlackBerry mobile devices. We have seen President Joe Biden violate a ruling of the Supreme Court that blocked him from using taxpayer funds, some from people who, for whatever reason, did not participate in higher education, to pay off the student loans amounting to $138 billion of other people who did.

A Springtime Prayer to 'Preserve, Protect and Defend' Our Constitution

by Lawrence Kadish  •  March 25, 2024 at 3:00 pm

As we remain wary and guarded against assaults from within and from beyond our borders, we need to turn within and contemplate the words of the Bible that serve to fortify ourselves and our nation. We should follow in the footsteps of great American presidents who put their hands on a book filled with holy words and vowed to "....the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." Pictured: George Washington takes the oath of office as the first president of the United States, on April 30th 1789 at the Old City Hall, New York, in an 1876 lithograph by Currier & Ives. (Image source: Metropolitan Museum of Art)

We are a nation that respects the Constitutional separation of "Church and State," but we are also a nation founded on the moral authority found within the Bible.

At a time when Easter is upon us and Passover is weeks away, it is important to reflect on the role of prayer in strengthening a nation that daily celebrates its democracy.

It is not by accident that George Washington placed his hand on a Bible when taking the oath of office of as America's first president. Also, no small wonder that Abraham Lincoln continuously returned to biblical themes as he brought our nation through the agonies of the Civil War. Or that Franklin Delano Roosevelt invoked a "righteous might" when asking for a declaration of war following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

UN Called to Respond to Sharia Violence against Women

by Raymond Ibrahim  •  March 25, 2024 at 5:00 am

  • "Sharia-linked violence is inflicted upon women in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Asia. This includes the recent extreme sexual violence committed against Israeli women in October 2023 by Hamas proven by the UN; the infliction of sexual slavery on Yezidi women by the Islamic State (IS); killing of Iranian women for not wearing the hijab; the trafficking, kidnapping, and conversion of Coptic Christian girls in Egypt; kidnapping of girls and women in Nigeria by Boko Haram; mass attacks on women in Germany in 2015; the rape of girls in the UK by the so-called 'grooming gangs'; the forced conversion, kidnapping and murder of Hindu girls in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh to name a few." — Press release, March 8, 2024.

  • Of especial importance is that the complaint shows how many aspects of Sharia directly contradict what the UN claims it stands up for. By relying heavily on UN documents, and quoting from the UN conventions that back them, the complaint essentially asks the UN to do what it should be but is not doing.

  • The complaint further shows that, according to the UN's own definitions, the issues it raises cannot be deemed "Islamophobic"....

  • To redress these abuses, the complaint asks the UN Human Rights Council to do several things. One consists of requesting that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which claims to represent the Muslim world at the UN, provide a "single consolidated response" as well as "one standardized, worldwide codification of the Sharia and an explanation as to why Sharia should not be considered a fundamental cause of violation of women's human rights."

  • The complaint also requests the appointment of "two non-Muslim rapporteurs, one who is a Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief and the second, a Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women..."

  • Should, as is likely, the UN not respond, it will have, once again, proven itself a defunct and corrupt organization.

On International Women's Day, March 8, 2024 — which, among other things, brings awareness to violence against women — a formal complaint on how Sharia (Islamic law) is inherently abusive of women was submitted to the United Nations under the title, "Thematic Complaint to the Human Rights Council, United Nations On the Worldwide and Consistent Patterns of Gross, Reliably Attested, and Continuing Violations of Women's Human Rights Caused by Sharia."

Oxford defines Sharia as follows:

"Islamic canonical law based on the teachings of the Koran and the traditions of the Prophet (Hadith and Sunna), prescribing both religious and secular duties and sometimes retributive penalties for lawbreaking. It has generally been supplemented by legislation adapted to the conditions of the day, though the manner in which it should be applied in modern states is a subject of dispute between Islamic fundamentalists and modernists."

Biden's Pier Is a Gift to Hamas Terrorists

by Con Coughlin  •  March 24, 2024 at 5:00 am

  • There are mounting concerns that the Biden administration's pier plan could ultimately boomerang, especially, as Netanyahu himself has warned, if the US aid and the port itself end up in the hands of Hamas terrorists.

  • "This [Biden] administration betrayed its allies – the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Jordan – by handing the port over to Qatar, namely to Hamas..... What all anti-U.S. elements will take away from this tragic episode is not that America stands by its human values to support and care for the population of Gaza, but rather that America is weak and that this is why it is granting the port to Qatar and Hamas." — Yigal Carmon, founder and president, Middle East Media Research Institute, March 20, 2024.

  • As Hamas ultimately controls most of the aid distribution networks in Gaza, the plans currently being drawn up by the US and Europe to expand aid deliveries could ultimately prove counter-productive in terms of ending the conflict, as Hamas terrorists have a long track record of exploiting foreign aid to strengthen their terrorist activities in Gaza.

  • If the Biden administration and its European allies are really serious about ending the conflict in Gaza, then they should give their unequivocal backing to the Israeli military in its battle to destroy the terrorist infrastructure Hamas has constructed in Gaza.

  • For it will only be when Hamas is completely destroyed, and no longer poses a threat to the Israeli people, that there can be any genuine prospect of lasting peace in the region.

The only real beneficiary of the Biden administration's ill-considered plan to build a floating pier to deliver US aid to Gaza will be the Hamas terrorist organisation that provoked the Gaza conflict in the first place. Pictured: US Army mariners construct a "Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore" causeway adjacent to the MV Maj. Bernard F. Fisher off the coast of Bowen, Australia, July 29, 2023. The only real beneficiary of the Biden administration's ill-considered plan to build a floating pier to deliver US aid to Gaza will be the Hamas terrorist organisation that provoked the Gaza conflict in the first place.

Under plans drawn up by the Pentagon, an estimated 1,000 US military personnel are to be deployed to construct the floating pier off the coast of Gaza that will enable Washington to deliver aid directly to Palestinian civilians.

Four US Army ships are currently making the month-long voyage from their base in Virginia to Gaza, where they will be involved in the construction of what the Pentagon calls a modular causeway system, including a large floating platform that will enable ships to unload large containers of aid.

The humanitarian supplies will then be transferred to a motorised string of causeway sections that will be pushed towards the shore for unloading.

Gaza: Razzia as Political Warfare

by Amir Taheri  •  March 24, 2024 at 4:00 am

  • British and European Union leaders say the time has come to formally accept the creation of a Palestinian state.

  • Meanwhile, Major-General Ismail Qaani, chief of the Quds Force of the Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, promises to "rebuild Gaza stronger than before as an advance post against world Zionism."

  • Claiming to be a "freedom fighter" shouldn't mean a license to kill at will. Even the "oppressed" have certain duties and must observe some rules while, as history has shown, the tyranny of the underdog could be as deadly as that of the oppressor.

  • The question today is why, when no time limit is imposed on conventional war until a victor emerges, should war against an insurgent group be subjected to calendar-based shenanigans?

  • In fact, the origin of razzia is the Arabic word ghazwa, which means a sudden no-holds-barred attack on a single set of targets in the hope of knocking out an adversary... The 9/11 attacks of 2001 on the US were four coordinated razzias.

  • World War II produced over 30 million refugees, all of whom acquired new abodes within a decade. The partition of India produced 14 million refugees, again, seeing all of them re-settled in less than a decade. Since 1959, more than 10 million Cubans have been driven out of their homeland and settled in a dozen countries, notably the United States.

  • Does it make any sense to have refugee camps even in Gaza, which was free of Israeli occupation for two decades? Or in the West Bank, governed by the Palestinian Authority? Is it humane to turn being a refugee into a profession, with UNRWA as the franchise-holder?

  • The Biden administration is making a big mistake by implicitly upgrading Hamas to a legitimate partner through regional allies, thus creating the illusion that razzias like the October 7 one could still produce at least a lollipop for perpetrators.

Although the tragic narrative that started with Hamas's October 7 attack on Israel isn't yet completed, do-gooders and virtue-signalers are rushing to write their postscripts.

British and European Union leaders say the time has come to formally accept the creation of a Palestinian state.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and EU foreign policy tsar Josep Borrel even suggest that the Security Council pass a resolution to make that mandatory, adding to the 230 resolutions already passed on the issue.

Meanwhile, Major-General Ismail Qaani, chief of the Quds Force of the Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, promises to "rebuild Gaza stronger than before as an advance post against world Zionism."

The Biden administration in Washington is making favorable noises about the two-state "solution" while musing about regime change, albeit in Israel.

Biden Administration's Jitterbug with Iran's Regime
When Crime Does Pay - Spectacularly

by Majid Rafizadeh  •  March 23, 2024 at 5:00 am

  • The recent decision to shower Iran, the "leading state sponsor of global terrorism," with yet another $10 billion in sanctions waivers, "freeing up $10 billion elsewhere to spend on terrorism, missiles, nuclear weapons and the repression of Iranian women," defies logic and morality.

  • Despite galactic evidence of Iran's atrocities — such as, since October 2023, more than 165 attacks by its proxies on American assets, which include the murder of three US service members; its support for terrorist organizations such as Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Houthis; its brutal crackdown on dissent at home, and its massively destabilizing actions across the Middle East — the Biden administration continues to court Iran and further enrich its regime, which thrives on chaos and bloodshed, especially against the country throwing the money at them.

  • "The FBI believes Iran is capable of a variety of attack options against US targets, to include cyber operations intended to sabotage public and private infrastructure .... [I]t's clear the Iranians are determined to carry out attacks in the United States...." — Robert Wells, assistant director of the Counterterrorism Division at the FBI, March 20, 2024.

  • "The mullahs give up nothing but get a windfall nonetheless... For [Senate Majority leader Chuck] Schumer, apparently, regime change in Israel is the national-security priority — not stopping billions of dollars to the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism." — Former National Security Council official Richard Goldberg, New York Post, March 14, 2024.

  • Former US Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe's assertion that the Biden administration's actions has already enriched Iran by "closer to $60 billion" is nothing short of chilling. This staggering sum undoubtedly enabled Iran to further enrich its uranium to near weapons-grade level; to help Hamas attack Israel, and to torment its own people.

  • It is high time for the Biden administration to send a clear and unequivocal message to Iran, China, Russia and North Korea that the days of impunity are over.

In the intricate and often perilous world of international relations, every decision carries weight, consequences, and the potential to shape the course of events. At the heart of this delicate dance lies the Biden administration's policy towards Iran — a policy that has been veering dangerously off-course, betraying not only the principles of national security but also the essence of American values.

Jew-Hate and 'Inquisitions' in Canada

by Robert Williams  •  March 22, 2024 at 5:00 am

  • "I would walk in every single day and I would see 'f–k you Jews,' 'you are not welcome here,' 'we hate Zionists,' and 'kill yourself.'" — Samantha Kline, student at the Ontario College of Art and Design, Vancouver Sun, March 6, 2024.

  • In 2022, the Canadian government invoked the Emergencies Act to shut down the so-called trucker convoy protests, in which thousands of truck drivers and their supporters rallied to call for an end to the federal government's COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

  • Last year, in a move reminiscent of Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin's "rehabilitation psychiatric wards," the celebrated psychologist, Professor Jordan Peterson, was ordered by the College of Psychologists of Ontario to be "disciplined" in a "Soviet style re-training camp" or lose his license, simply for having expressed personal opinions about a variety of subjects, from obesity to transgender ideology.

  • The same Canadian leaders and officials, however, evidently see no need to comment on the mobs calling for the genocide of Jews.

  • As a final blow to Canadian Jews, the Canadian government has decided, at this time of all times, to implement new standards that will effectively end the practice of kosher slaughter in Canada.

  • Is Canada trying to get rid of its Jews? And its freedoms? It might just succeed in doing both.

Is Canada trying to get rid of its Jews? Since the October 7 massacre in southern Israel, Jews in Canada have been under constant attack, including shootings, firebombings, boycotts, vandalism, and intimidation and harassment in the streets. Few lawmakers are willing to wholeheartedly condemn any of this. Pictured: Anti-Israel protesters at Dorchester Square in Montreal, Canada, on November 18, 2023. Since the October 7 massacre in southern Israel, Jews in Canada have been under constant attack. Shooting attacks against schools, firebombings of Jewish institutions, boycotts and vandalism against businesses owned by Jews, imams inciting and telling their congregations that Jews are "vermin", and the constant marches of pro-Hamas activists chanting "long live the intifada" and "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" -- a euphemism for annihilating a democratic member of the United Nations, Israel.

In Montreal alone, police recorded 38 reports of hate crimes and other incidents targeting the city's Jewish community in the weeks following October 7. According to Shimon Fogel, CEO of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs:

Germany's Murder of Europe

by Drieu Godefridi  •  March 21, 2024 at 5:00 am

  • Climate, of course, is a global issue: if Europe reduces its emissions to zero, while the rest of the world continues to increase them, the effect on the climate will be zero. As a result, the German plan will not save a single euro in terms of the damage caused by global warming and extreme events.

  • So, the investment needed each year would not be €1.5 trillion invested to save 0.03% of GDP per year. It would be €30 trillion — €1.5 trillion per year for 20 years — invested to change absolutely nothing in the climate of Europe.

  • There are no serious analysts left who still maintain that the objective of the Paris Agreement will be achieved; the Paris Agreement is obsolete and to pretend otherwise, as the European Commission is doing, is misleading, irresponsible, and not even scientific.

  • In practical terms, whole swathes of our populations have entered into a pattern that is the ultimate dream of environmentalists: degrowth. In other words, their impoverishment.

  • Ironically, if the IPCC's projections are to be believed, global warming may occur, and we will adapt to it through innovation. All the resources that Europe is burning up in a phantasmatic "energy transition", which has failed and will fail -- will just burn through money that we will then not have for innovation. What will Europe do when these misguided ideologies have permanently broken the back of its economy?

Climate is a global issue. If Europe reduces its emissions to zero, while the rest of the world continues to increase them, the effect on the climate will be zero. As a result, the German plan will not save a single euro in terms of the damage caused by global warming and extreme events. Pictured: Anti-nuclear power protesters celebrate the shuttering of Germany's last nuclear power plants on April 15, 2023 in Munich, Germany, and call for banning nuclear power across Europe. (Photo by Johannes Simon/Getty Images)

In a preparatory impact report, a copy of which has been obtained by the Financial Times before official release, the European Commission estimates that to achieve the target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2040 then 100% in 2050 — the main objective of the "European Green Deal" — Europe will need to invest €1.5 trillion a year from 2031 to 2050.

1.5 trillion euros a year. That is equivalent to 10% of the Europe Union's entire GDP for 2022 -- every year! Apart from a war effort, there is no objective of any kind that has ever required the diversion of 10% of a continent's GDP by political decree.

The new German utopia

This number shows us that, while Germany has had to give up imposing its hatred of nuclear power on its European partners, it is determined to inflict on Europe the rest of the environmental utopia, i.e. total decarbonization, even at the cost of economic collapse and freedoms.

Schumer Warns Israel to Spare Hamas or Face Sanctions

by Daniel Greenfield  •  March 21, 2024 at 4:00 am

  • Schumer demanded that Israel call a new election and remove its current government from power.

  • If the Israelis vote wrongly again, the Biden administration "should use the tools at its disposal to make sure our support for Israel is aligned with our broader goal of achieving long-term peace and stability." Peace and stability paradoxically means a "Palestinian" terrorist state.

  • What did Netanyahu do wrong? According to Schumer, he won't commit to a terrorist state and insists on finishing off Hamas in Rafah. Or, as Schumer put it in his Orwellian tortured diction, he "won't commit to a military operation in Rafah that prioritizes protecting civilian life." The kind of operation the Biden administration has in mind is a few targeted strikes on Hamas leaders when no civilians are around. That's the way we fought and lost in Afghanistan. Biden would like to turn Israel into another Afghanistan with Hamas as the Taliban.

  • [M]any Jewish Democrat officials, all responding to Biden's call for a "Come to Jesus meeting" with Netanyahu. The actual call however is coming from another deity entirely who is worshiped in Dearborn, Michigan. Biden is desperate to end the war in order to appease Muslim Democrats in Michigan who have made no secret of their support for the terrorists.

  • This is part of a plan to put forward a "technocratic" government that would not contain members of Hamas, but which would still represent and take orders from Hamas. Under such a false flag, Hamas would retain power without having an official role.

US Senator Chuck Schumer stood at the Senate podium and laid out his vision of the "four obstacles to peace". These, according to the Senate Majority Leader were, Hamas, "right wing Israelis", PLO terrorist leader Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Having equated Israeli conservatives with Hamas, Schumer demanded that Israel call a new election and remove its current government from power. And if Israelis did not choose to obey, he warned that the "United States will have no choice but to play a more active role in shaping Israeli policy by using our leverage to change the present course."

That is an obvious euphemism for anything from the withdrawal of aid to economic sanctions.

Israel Betrayed?

  • It seems clear that the Biden administration would like to see the rapid creation of a Palestinian state or at least a "Palestinian unity government" -- unfortunately composed of the Palestinian Authority and the terrorist group Hamas -- and, abracadabra, recognize it.

  • The Palestinian leaders have, in fact, been admirably clear: They do not want a state alongside Israel, they want a state instead of Israel.

  • "[W]hile Qatar is helping assemble a new 'technocratic' front for the terrorists, the Moscow summit made it clear that the real agenda of the new government would be terror against Israel and the U.S." — Daniel Greenfield, journalist, March 12, 2024.

  • "They [families of the hostages] can raise hell for the release of their loved ones – in media, in Congress, and by demonstrating in front of the Embassy of Qatar on M Street in Washington, D.C. Qatar is extremely and incredibly sensitive to being exposed in any way as a terror-sponsoring state... A single statement by a U.S. Department of Defense official, about relocating – or even considering relocating – this base from Qatar to another country that is not a state sponsor of terrorism is all it would take to get the American hostages released. Even indicating that the U.S. has other options besides Qatar would do it." — Yigal Carmon, Founder and President of the Middle East Media Research Institute, November 6, 2023.

  • Qatar is not an honest broker.... Qatar has been Hamas's main funder... Hamas is Qatar's pet; Qatar most likely does not want Hamas to lose the war and is sure to do all it can to secure that result.

  • It appears that the Biden administration would like to trade Netanyahu in for a doormat who would agree to a terrorist Palestinian state next door, a Hamas victory in Gaza and Iran having nuclear weapons.

February 15, 2024. President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have a long phone conversation. The communiqué published by the White House briefing room says they spoke about humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza and Israeli military operations.

A few hours later, Netanyahu posted a message on X, saying bluntly:

"Israel will continue to oppose the unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state. Such recognition in the wake of the October 7 massacre would give a huge reward to unprecedented terrorism and prevent any future peace settlement".
