Reader comment on: Britain: Muslim 'Cultural Sensitivity' Runs Amok

Submitted by Carolyn, Apr 22, 2012 04:31

I am at a loss to understand the 'clash' between the Muslim religion and dogs. I know that it was widely publicized a couple of years ago that a young blind, Muslim man asked his local imam if he could have a guide dog to take him to his mosque. He subsequently became the first Muslim in the UK to have a guide dog to lead him to the mosque. He was only required to leave the dog tied up outside the praying room.

Likewise Pakistan, a predominantly Muslim country, holds dog shows! There is a Sieger show in Pakistan, in which the winners are sent to represent the country at an annual championship show for German Shepherds held in Germany.
