It is indeed a sorry state of affairs. Political correctness in Britain is sounding the death knell for the very idea it was supposed to protect - multiculturalism. It continues to cultivate racism and create not only divisions but also yawning chasms between cultures and races. Just this morning I was told by a certain British paper that they were unable to run my story under my real name, as they feared being sued for defamation. I had written about my interracial marriage and how our families had reacted to it. My husband and I battled their racist views and hurtful treatment for ten years, but they must remain protected and I can only tell my story under an alias.
