Excellent article, Mr. Heggy! You describe the picture in the most accurate and factual way. Nevertheless, I still feel that Europe and the United States cannot understand or comprehend the danger of political Islam, in spite of the fact that 500 years ago, Europe struggled to free itself from politicalized religion. Do you have an explanation why the Western governments (especially the United States) cannot realize the danger of supporting such systems, especially after the failure of the Irani (overthrow of the Shah and the uprisal of the Iranian theocracy) and Afghani models?
