Reader comment on: Who Will Speak for the Ahmadi Muslims?

If this is a policy institution, please define persecution, and compare the murder rates of Ahmadis with the general murder rate in Pakistan. The website you quote (thepersecution.org) defines every murder of an Ahmadi as 'persecution.' Ahmadis cannot be 'most literate, wealthy, and occupying high government offices' and 'persecuted' at the same time. A simple multplication of murder rate x 4 million will give the right answers.

Yes, they are discriminated against, and yes, Pakistan is becoming increasingly the target of terrorism due to the war next door. Again, a policy institute should be able to know from historical parallel that a war next door never brings peace and tolerance to neighbours. Stop the war in Afghanistan and things should slowly return to the normal in semi-secular Pakistan.
