Parliamentarian or Totalitarian EU?
Reader comment on: European Parliament Censors Its Own Free Speech

Thank you, Ms. Bergman. Once again, we are all reminded of this "Orwellian" Europe. If America is not careful, the lies and distortions of Mahmoud Abbas will compromise our free speech democracy as well. It is shocking how much OBVIOUS hypocrisy is lurking about in governments all around the globe. Knowing this, we must temper our reactions to the media's "false narratives". Why? Only because the lies are what they must report along with the "fake news"! Readers, and I am one (I have no TV or radio due to a residential crisis), be always diligently, critically, analytical with your reading material! Exhausting to have to be.
Herein lies the real crux for all. If we are losing the right to critique, respond to issues, or just plain conversationally express doubts about our governments actions, then why should we care about the "truth" of whatever it is we read?" My thoughts in answer to that is, because if you are going to live correctly with YOURSELF and others, you have to obey that inner prompt that gives you your "compass". Riding off "into the horizon", on any mission for your life, your family, and your safety, demands real facts, not fakery or false data. So, we need ethically based leadership everyday in all we have to do just to stay safe, healthy, and productive.
