The West's Real Bigotry
Reader comment on: The West's Real Bigotry: Rejecting Persecuted Christians
Submitted by Peter Terry, Mar 16, 2017 08:51
It is not Christians who are treating fellow Christians so poorly...whatever they may be in name, the Westerners who are exhibiting such lack of compassion for Christians and Yazidis and "unfaithful" Muslims are actually devotees of another belief system. It is sometimes identified as multiculturalism or the Left but it is neither one really. It springs from the post-modernist, deconstructionist discourse in the academy, and is loaded with guilt. The guilt of those who see themselves and each other as former colonialists, as oppressors of the peoples of the earth. They are so eager to compensate for the awful manner in which their ancestors treated the poor Muslims of Africa, Asia and the Middle East that they will excuse any bad conduct and ignore those who do not fit the scenario.
