Any religion or philosophy which holds that its followers must kill other human beings who reject it or contradict it is defying the most basic principle of humanity (i.e. human life must be preserved). It is the maternal instinct which causes a mother to risk her life to save her child.

What would be the position of the Muslim Brotherhood members who are about to take control of Egypt in this matter? There are those who want to assure us that Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood members are "mostly moderates." This is nonsense. They will not condemn this attitude; they believe it is dictated by their religion.

Moreover, if anyone expects to hear an unequivocal condemnation of this act from U.S. organizations such as the Council on American Islamic relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) or the many other Islamic American groups concerned with America's "Islamophobia," don't hold your breath. Most of them generally accept this kind of thing simply as being part of the Islamic faith.
