Reader comment on: The Academic War on Israel

Submitted by Andrew H, Apr 23, 2015 09:23

Ironically, since Jews represent a dramatically disproportionate number among the world's best writers, PR folks and publicists (Obama surrounded himself with Jewish flacks to win the first time) Israel has been downright clubfooted when it came to their own public relations. Even the Neanderthal Palestinians, weaned on deception, run circles around them in propaganda efforts. Israeli breast beating has earned them the ire of the academic community.

England, of course, spawned bigger anti-Semites than Germany ever did and since Jews tend to be doers and academics teach because they can't do, there is a naturally higher percentage of Jew-haters among English academics. But, you can't run around telling the world how brilliant you are and expect to be popular among folks who like to think they are the brightest in the world.

As for Obama's war on Israel, he is working hard at becoming the most irrelevant man in the world and Israel could afford to shut him out just as Egypt has shut him out but, here again, Israel does it wrong out of fear of losing aid dollars. If Netanyahu announced he's recalling Israel's ambassador until 2016 when America gets a president one can respect, then most of us would salute Israel.
