The injustice that has been done to Tommy Robinson is absolutely unacceptable and any civilization will tell you this man has not been treated within the law ..why is there a media ban if he had received a fair trial which is obviously has not why wouldn't you allow it to be covered up . the judge is a disgrace to your country and judiciary. the world is awake to what your doing to this man and its absolutely unacceptable . I can understand why the puritans left England for the new world. Problem today is that there is no new world to go to. I am sick to death of what the ruling elites have done, and continue to do to my country. Criticising Islam will be a criminal offence carrying a term of imprisonment of several years. However, having one's own non Islamic faith insulted is of no consequence!

There is little or no future for Genuine Christian believers in the UK. God have mercy on us all!

There should be legislation against gagging the press. It is the only defence remaining in a world of political correctness and where moral courage is no longer seen as a virtue.

Hmmm........arrested allegedly for reporting on a criminal case in court. Swiftly put on trial and then sentenced to 13 months, while forbidding the press to report his arrest and trial.
Now, Lets see where we have seen this movie before.................Yes, I recal Nazi Germany, the late Soviet Union, how about Communist China or Paul Pots Cambodia, or..........present day Iran, Turkey, and probably a whole host of third world countries. . It is a case of the state weaponizing as it were, its judiciary. Using the judiciary to suppress dissent of its own people.

I saw an interview tonight of Caeolin (sp?) Robertson, a close friend and colleague of Tommy Robinson. He said that Tommy is safe. There are few Muslims where he is located and most of the prison population seems to support him. It is comforting to know that. He also said that UK police and establishment are terrified of Islam and have been threatened by them. If they do not submit to the wishes of the Muslim population they will mobilize violently in the streets.

Robertson was outside the courthouse where they took Tommy for his 3 minute hearing. The judge who sentenced him stood at the window and smirked at them below. I saw video of it. Not far away, Muslim men who were on trial for rape made homicidal gestures at them from another window.

He also said the people of the UK are about to explode and that people on both the left and the right are outraged by this arrest, so what they have done is actually uniting people against the authorities. I thought that would never happen.

This is the same type of asinine *&%# that is going happen in Canada too under our current enlightened bunch of MENSA members. I cannot believe that the UK has fallen so far, so fast. It is absolutely frightening what the out of control government is doing. I wonder if this will finally be the tipping point over there, and riots/protests will begin?

Was he not out on bail for a previous offence - and sentenced in that regard ? If that was the case - not so unusual !

if there's a large ongoing case, split into multiple parts. Reporting on part 1 and 2 while there's still more trial going on, has risks. It risks the defendants not getting an unbiased jury. Who have seen that the other parts verdicts were already in. That can reflect to the backlash the verdict had. That may feel pressure to vote one way or another.

This gives a lawyer who knows even basic law the ammunition they need to appeal for a mistrial or the verdict of they don't like it.

The truth is, what Tommy was doing was perverting the course of justice by reporting on the case while it was still happening. Had he reported after the final part was concluded there wouldn't be any problem.

He knew this, he was found guilty but had his sentence suspended back in May 2017. He did it again, which means he knew what he was doing was not only wrong... But illegal. And did it anyway.

As for the question of him receiving violent attacks from Muslim's in prison... Does that mean that Tommy should be free from any kind of prosecution... Because we can't send him to jail, so if he was robbing people or murdering we would just have to let him go... Because the Muslim's will murder him?

The Robinson case is imply a further episode in the long history of efforts by the British "progressive" elite to cover up the tragic mistake in the aftermath off WW II of bringing in a horde of Pakistanis--a group alien to and hostile to western values. I remember when I was in London several years back and was walking in the east end where there was nothing but Pakastanis around. Believe me I got out of there fast. We are on the way to the same "progressive" totalitarianism in this country. When I see a bunch of idiots protesting rather than applauding Trump"s effort to keep Muslim's out, I am amazed at the extent to which a strange insanity has affected people. Much of the problem is the brainwashing students have been subjected to, esp. in colleges. God save us if the Democrats get back in power.

These questions should also be put to Theresa May. I wouldn't expect any meaningful answers, but it would give her an opportunity to display her talent at lying and dissembling.

Who am I, but a 85 year old retired junior high math teacher. For what little worth and for all of the blundering I might do, get U.S. diplomats out of the U.K. No further Muslim immigration. Thank G-D for Geert Wilders, his sense of justice and truth, and his fearlessness. He has always "told it as it is". The fascistic oppression of Tommy Robinson is just part of the destruction of Western civilization and the Judea-Christian ethos which the barbarians and their willing helpers have loosed upon all of us. U.K., and E.U. need a Trump-like figure to help lead them back to sanity and - safety.

As am elderly woman who all my life have lived in a free society I am appalled at the way those who hold the reins in this country of ours no longer appear to be capable of making a fair AND HONEST decision that gives everyone a reasonable chance at an independent life, We lost many of our young people in 2 world wars fighting for he very thing that no one seems clearly to understand any more ...FREEDOM...sadly it is not unil you have lost it you realise its true worth!I would suggest to our young people imagine a government that dictates you will no longer have a right of access to your cpmputers and mobile phones Be honest you would be upset and very angry, I imagine the protests and mayhem on the streets but no one is listening, This is against your human rights !! etc etc .now imagine not having a right to protest at this your human right is withdrawn SO where do you go now ? At one time I would have said, that this can't be true or it's unimaginable, but not anymore. The British government/judiciary on one hand has is using a form of Nazism to stifle free speech. On the other hand they are using a Neville Chamberlain type appeasement with radical Islamists, which will NEVER work. This mentality is going on throughout the EU. What the judge did to Robinson is in fact terrifying and sickening. Only the media and more so the voters can stop this evil. However, that will only happen if more than 50% of voters and media personnel aren't cowards.
