For more than 40 years, the UK has followed EU regulations regarding trade deals, immigration laws and foreign policy decisions. In our latest video, Denis MacEoin, Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Gatestone Institute, discusses the negative impacts of EU control and the positive changes that are now possible. Moving forward, the UK will have the ability to decide its own laws and future.
It's particularly interesting and revealing to watch Brexit and the Brussels response. There's a profound difference between Government and Business. Government look at people as subjects to be controlled. Business looks at people as customers to be satisfied.
Brexit makes clear that hundreds of millions of people in the European Union are dissatisfied enough to want out. Because they view people as subjects the immediate response by the EU bureaucrats is to seek ways to punish those dissenters by making leaving the EU as painful as possible. Businesses, because they view people as customers, would look internally to see how they need to change to keep their customers happy.
I think the major cause for the difference between the Business and Governments perspectives are incentives. While the private sector is rewarded for efficiently satisfying customers, the public sector is rewarded by loyalty to superiors, and amassing and centralizing power. Every page, every sentence, every word of legislation and regulation is fertilizer that enables public sector bureaucrats to grow the bureaucracy and centralize power. Public sector bureaucrats are in fact punished for efficiency and problem solving - they lose funding and therefore status and power.
How do we incentivize Government bureaucrats to change behavior?

Liberty is Worth any amount of money. Opportunists who do not understand this should ask prisoners, persecuted nations etc. Even if the sterling pound has lost a bit these days which is not necessarily an economic setback I'm sure it will rebound soon when people understand the sky is not going to fall on peoples' heads because EU needs UK more than UK needs 4th reich/eu. Idiots keep saying "look where we are" but NO ONE KNOWS EXACTLY WHERE THIS IS...
