Muslim expansionism by military conquest was only stopped from overtaking Europe by drastic and determined military response. There is a huge propaganda excercise on to revise our understanding of European and world history. The archaeological and written evidence is however enough to dispel this image of a benign force at work in European and world history. The words may be soothing, persuasive, and pleading, but the deeds do not match them. The fact is Islam, as an international entity, invaded non-Muslim sovereign territory in a brutally enforced and relentless drive to Islamize the known world. Muslims have no legal rights to claim moral equivalence to the Spanish Jews who had migrated to Spain, lived under Spanish sovereignty and lived under Spanish law until they were expelled for reasons of racial and religious prejudice. Muslims were driven back out from the land they illegally invaded and seized by conquest. They may think that, in accordance with their religious beliefs that Spain, once it was conquered, became an Islamic waqf, but that is by their own unique set of laws that only apply to them. International law recognizes the rights of the invaded - not the invader, as is just and proper. Any attempt to Islamize international law or the laws of other nations must be resisted at every opportunity.
